William F. "Ace" Onifer, 79, of Leckrone, Pa., passed away peacefully on Monday, August 27, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was born in Leckrone, son of the late Michael and Margaret (Yonish) Onifer.

William was the last member of his immediate family, preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary, their infant son, siblings, Aloysius, Mary Ann, Thomas, Rita, and Gene; and a nephew, George Kennedy.

He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help St. Mary Church for many years, now St. Francis of Assisi Parish. He is remembered by his family as a very kind man, devoted to his wife Mary, the love of his life. May he find eternal peace in her arms once again.

He will be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews, Phillip Matarazzo, Donna Cruz, Rhonda Sanders, Anthony Matarazzo, Michael Kennedy, Tracy Rockwell, Christopher Kennedy, and their families.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Avenue Ext., Uniontown, Pa. on Friday, August 31, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., the Hour of Service with his nephew, Apostle Terry A. Sanders officiating.

Interment will follow at Our Lady of Perpetual Help St. Mary Cemetery, Leckrone, Pa.
