William B. Mari, 88 of Uniontown, passed on Sunday October 6, 2019 with his family by his side. Born April 16, 1931 in California, PA, son of the late Julius and Elizabeth (Lexi) Mari; Beloved husband of 63 years to Margaret (Hanzes) Mari; father of William J. (Robin) Mari of Pt. Marion, PA, John R. Mari, James M. (Tracy) Mari, Debby A. (Stanley) Potkul and David M. (Kimberly) Mari, all of Uniontown and Marjorie A. (David) Stefanini of Hopwood; grandfather of Danny, Steven, Rebecca, Melissa, Johnny, Rachel, Michael, Kelly, Brandon, David, Michael, Amanda, Mackenzie and Isabella; Great grandfather of Ten; Brother of Dorothy Kustron, Christine DeFrank, Sara Mari and Richard Mari and the late Marie, Esther, Anna Mae, Libby, John and Joseph Mari; brother in law of Dolores Hanzes (Michael) Zentkovich and her family. William served his country for six years in the Navy on the USS Coral Sea during the Korean War, was an active member of the North Union VFW Post 8543 and a life member and the American Legion Post #51 and the Hutchinson Sportman's Club and St. Therese Church of Uniontown. Friends welcome at Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext. Uniontown on Wednesday 2-8 PM where a blessing service will be on Thursday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home where military honors will be accorded. Interment will be in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
