William J. Majnaric, age 88, of Hopwood, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on August 15, 1922 in Granite City, IL, son of the late Joseph Majnaric and Katarina Majnaric.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his step father John Bahat, and his brother Edward Minerich.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving sister Mary Bierbower, sister-in-law; Evelyn Minerich, and several nieces and nephews.
William was a proud veteran of the World War II where he served in the U.S. Army, and was awarded a Purple Heart. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 400, American Legion Post 51, AMVETS Post 103, and VFW Post 47.
Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Inc. 603 N Gallatin Ave. Ext. Uniontown, PA 15401 on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 from 5-8 PM, and Wednesday, November 17, 2010 until 10 AM, when a blessing service will be held with Fr. Stephen R. Bugay.
Interment will be held in St. Mary's Cemetery Uniontown, PA, where military honors will be accorded by The American Legion Post 51 & The North Union VFW Post 8543.
