William G. "Bill" Lukach, age 89 of Uniontown, Pa., died on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. he was born on February 3, 1929 in Uniontown, son of Joseph and Anna (Takoch) Lukac. His parents and a brother John Lukach preceded him in death.

Bill was lovingly known as "Pops" by his family and friends. He was a Dairy Farmer, 4-H Club Leader, and co-owner of Lukach Farm & Dairy. He was named Outstanding Young Farmer by the Uniontown Jay Cees, and also served as the Fayette County Field Supervisor with the United States Dept. of Agriculture.

He was a lifetime member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, where he served as Eucharistic Minister, Past President of St. Mary's Parish Council, Past President of the Uniontown Lions Club, Secretary of the F.C.S.U. (Jednota Lodge), member of National Slovak Society, and volunteer at St. Vincent DePaul Society.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Betty J. (Duritsa) Lukach; his children, son, William Lukach and wife Patty, daughters, Marlene Bandzuch and husband William, Donna Berkshire and husband Charles, and Barbara Atz and husband Robert; grandchildren, Rebecca Macino, Michael Lukach, David Lukach, William Bandzuch, Amy Tungate, Christina Bandzuch, Colbie Foreman, Tyler Foreman, and Nicholas Atz; and nine great grandchildren; a sister, Eleanor Semans and husband Joseph, brother, Rev. Father Thomas Lukac, brother-in-law, Tom Daly, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, Pa., on Wednesday, February 14, from 2-8 p.m.; and until 9:30 a.m. Thursday, February 15, when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

The Funeral Mass will follow on Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, 61 N. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, Pa., with Rev. Father Peter L. Peretti as celebrant.
Interment will be held at St. Mary (Nativity) Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
The Parish Wake Service led by the Lazarus Ministry will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m.
