Willard "Wes" Whiting, 60, of Monarch, PA, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at home. He was born on October 17, 1954 in Waynesburg, PA, son of the late Willard F. and Doris Jean (Thomas) Whiting. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant son Wesley D. Whiting.

Wes was a graduate of Laurel Highlands High School Class of 1973. He was employed with Volkswagen until their closing, and was currently employed with PennDOT, Uniontown. He was a member of the Connellsville B.P.O. Elks, and the Juniata United Methodist Church.

Wes loved to fish and ride his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Walt Disney World where he shared many cherished memories with his family. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Deborah R. (Staggers) Whiting; their children: daughter, Kristen N. Hausmann and husband Todd of Mauldin, SC, and son, Michael W. Whiting of Myrtle Beach, SC; his sister, Maureen E. Whiting Johnston and husband Timothy of Connellsville, PA; and aunts, Evelyn Whiting of Uniontown, PA, Lillian Wood of Annandale, VA, Audrey Gribble and husband John of Uniontown, PA, Martha Rice of LaBelle, PA, and Phyllis Seybert and husband Rich of West Middlesex, PA; and many cousins.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, today (Friday), May 22, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and on Saturday, May 23 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the Hour of Service, with Reverend Timothy McConville Officiating. Interment will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park Cemetery, Brier Hill, PA.
