Virginia "Jean" Petros, age 76, of Uniontown, PA., passed away, on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at the Laurel Ridge Center. She was born on October 6, 1936 in Uniontown, PA., daughter of the late Michael Petros and Mary (Holup) Petros.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Lilley and Stella McCann.

Left to cherish her memory is her companion, David A Shaffer, of Uniontown; her daughter, Mary C. Gmutza and husband Stephen of Brownsville, PA.; four grandchildren, Timothy McDade, Brandon McDade, Stephen Gmutza, and Kristen Jean Gmutza; and four siblings, George Petros of Ohio, Sophie Dutton of Uniontown, Kay Stockton of Hopwood, and James Petros of Mississippi.

Virginia enjoyed playing bingo and was an avid Steeler fan.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Sunday, July 28, 2013 from 4-8PM and again on Monday, July 29, 2013 from 10:00AM until 11:00AM when a blessing service will be held with Rev. Fr. James Clark officiating.

Interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
