Viola M. Simmons, 77, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 7, 2017. She was born in Vanderlip, West Virginia on September 14, 1939, a daughter of Owen J. and Virginia D. (Southerly) Simmons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, longtime companion, Samuel E. Bollibon, a brother Russell Southerly, and sisters, Betty Mae Mills, Buanna Savelle, and Anna Kline Davis.

Viola had been employed with Fayette Frozen Foods of Uniontown for many years. Her family lovingly knew her as "Aunt Mutt", who loved to laugh and make others laugh.

Left to cherish her memory are many loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, special niece and great niece, Nancy and Jasmine Attaway of Uniontown, and best friend, Pat Smith of East Millsboro, PA.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Thursday, February 9, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m.; and Friday, February 10, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the Hour of Service with Pastor Lee Maley officiating.

Private Entombment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery Mausoleum.
