Viola (Rejzer) Petko, 98, of Uniontown, PA, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 20, 1918, in Buffington, PA, a daughter of the late Ignatius and Teresa (Sobek) Rejzer.

In addition to her parents, Viola was preceded in death by her husband Steve Petko, in October 2004; her brothers, John Rejzer and Henry Almazon; and her sisters, Josephine Rejzer, Julie Newell and Antoinette Copeland.

Viola was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, in Uniontown. She was an avid sports fan, especially the Pittsburgh Pirates, Penguins, and Steelers. Viola liked flowers, loved to bake, and enjoyed going to the casino. Above all Viola was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be sadly missed.

Left to cherish her memory, are her children, Kathleen Michaelson and her husband Nick, Robert Petko and his wife Connie, Connie Cole and her husband Jim, and Geri Pursglove and her husband Bill; her grandchildren, Tim, Eric, Susan, and Karen Michaelson, Kim Harrison, Terry Petko, Joe and John Williams, Julie Cole, Teresa Mahoney, and Ben and Marci Pursglove; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Anna Rejzer; and many nieces, nephews and their families.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Sunday, February 5, from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. and Monday, February 6, until 10:30 a.m. when the Panachida Service will be held.

The Divine Liturgy with Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m., in St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 185 E. Main St., Uniontown, PA, with Rev. Father Ronald P. Larko as Celebrant.

Interment will be held in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA, at a later date.

The Parastas Service will be held Sunday, at 7 p.m.
