Victoria A. "Vicki" (Bodziony) Stroncheck passed away unexpectedly on August 28, 2019 in Uniontown, PA.  She was born in Orient, PA on December 14, 1934 to Joseph and Helen Garlacz.  She grew up in Cardale, PA and graduated from Redstone Township High School in 1952.  After graduation, she was employed by the Rockwell Manufacturing company in Uniontown.  She married Steve Bodziony in 1956, and they had two sons, Leonard and Richard.  She was preceded in death by her husband Steve in 1979, and by her parents several years later.  After Steve's passing, as a single mother, she worked hard to ensure her sons were able to graduate from college.  She married Joseph Stroncheck in 1987.  Upon Joe's death in 2007, Vicki moved to Columbia, MD to live with her son Richard and wife Sonia.  She was thrilled at the arrival of her three granddaughters Desiree, Darcey and Devon, and her greatest joy was watching them become successful young women.  Vicki loved dancing to polkas, enjoyed a good glass of wine and was a passionate reader of everything from a good book to the National Enquirer.  Vicki had many friends over the years, and treasured her lifelong friendship with her best friend Irene Bane.  She is survived by her sons Leonard (Dail) of Seattle, WA, Richard (Sonia) of Columbia, MD, granddaughters Desiree and Devon of Columbia, MD, Darcey of Nashville, TN, sister Joan (Greg) Mikeo, sisters-in-law Dorothy Bodziony and Florence Rodgers of Uniontown, PA.  She was deeply loved by her family and friends, and they will hold her caring and compassion in their hearts always. Saturday Prayers of Transfer 9:15 AM followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Uniontown, PA where she was a lifelong member.  Interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Hopwood.
