Mr. Victor Piccolomini, 66, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle against cancer on August 31,2012 at the Kline Hospice House in Mt. Airy, MD with loving family by his side.
Born on November 25, 1945 in Connellsville, PA , he was the son of the late John & Mildred Piccolomini of Waltersburg, PA. Married in 1964 to the love of his life, he started his family in Uniontown, PA. Victor later relocated to Maryland. He owned and operated Vipic Enterprises Inc. until his retirement, and was the developer and owner of Danea Manor Apartments. Though an entrepreneur at heart, Victor was most passionate about his family and his loyalty and worship to Jehovah God. He was a member of the Monocacy Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Victor is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sandra Jane (Gergely) Piccolomini, and was loving father of son Victor William Piccolomini and wife Tonya of Frederick, MD and daughter Danea Michaele (Piccolomini) Ross and husband Daniel of Ijamsville, MD. He is also survived by six devoted grandchildren; Madison Mackensie, Victor Glen, Siena Maria, Isabella Jane, Conrad Pierce and Natalia Michaele. Victor leaves behind four siblings; a brother, Richard Piccolomini and wife Louise of Waltersburg, PA and three sisters: Paulmena Pizzurro and husband Frank of Hopwood, PA, Esther Callahan and husband Tom of New Market, MD, and Marcia Pozzi and husband Arnold of Finleyville, PA.
The family will receive friends at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 North Gallatin Ave. Extension, Uniontown, PA on Monday, September 3, 2012 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm; and on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, the Hour of Service, with speaker Michael Cook of the Uniontown Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses officiating.
Interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
