Veronica (Machesky) Borytsky, 81 of Fairchance, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at the Uniontown Hospital. She was born in Uniontown on March 3, 1938 daughter of William and Anna (Skuban) Machesky. Her parents and a sister Rita Jyachosky preceded her in death.

"Vernie" as she was lovingly known by her family and friends was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church of Uniontown, and the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. She was a graduate of Mount Macrina Girls Academy Class of 1955, and a devoted and faithful volunteer at Mt. St. Macrina throughout her life.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Joseph Borytsky; their children, Mark J. Borytsky and wife Audrey of Omaha, Nebraska and Amy Jo Sementa and husband Richard of North Carolina; four grandchildren, Albert Sementa, Mark Borytsky, Jr. and wife Celeste, Lee Borytsky and wife Brandi, and Bradley Borytsky; three great grandchildren; a sister, Patricia DeCara of Monarch, Pa., and a brother, William P. Machesky of Uniontown, Pa.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, Pa. on Saturday, April 27, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday, April 28, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m.; and Monday, April 29, until 9:15 a.m. when prayers of transfer will be said.

The Funeral Mass will follow on Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 180 Old Walnut Hill Rd., Uniontown, Pa. Interment will be held at Mount Macrina Cemetery.

St. Joseph's Christian Mothers will conduct a prayer service on Sunday at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
