Timothy J. Piwowar, Sr., age 66, of Uniontown, passed away on Sunday March 1, 2015

He was born on January 19, 1949 in Uniontown, Pa, son of John and Helen (Chernitsky) Piwowar.

Timothy was preceded in death by his father John Piwowar; son Kevin Piwowar; father- in- law Andrew Bochna; and brothers-n-law, Jim Colinet & Dan Costabile.

He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, where he previously served on parish council, he was a former member of The Uniontown Area School Board, The Fayette County Fair Board, and also served on the Fayette County Planning Commission.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Kathleen (Bochna) Piwowar, his children, Timothy J. Piwowar Jr., and his wife Leslie, Denise Cottom and her husband John, grandchildren, Trey Piwowar, Gabe Piwowar, step granddaughter Lauren Cottom, he was also survived by his mother Helen (Chernitsky) Piwowar, brothers and sisters; John Piwowar and his wife Myra, Sandy Costabile, Rick Piwowar and his wife Chrissa, Kathy Vensko and her husband David, Ted Piwowar and his wife Barb, Jim Piwowar and his wife Cathy, Chris Piwowar and his wife Patrice, Cindy Koposko and her husband Mark, his mother in law Pauline Bochna; sisters-in-law, Andrea Kovach and her husband Barry, Cheryl Byrne and her husband Ray; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 from 1-8 p.m., and on Wednesday March 4, 2015 until 9:15 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

A Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 180 Old Walnut Hill Rd., Uniontown, PA, with Rev. Father Ronald L. Simboli as Celebrant.

Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hopwood, PA.
