Thomas J. Urda's Obituary
Thomas J. Urda, age 87, of Clairton, PA passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017.
He was born in Duquesne, PA December 3, 1929 son of the late Julius and Anna (Slanina) Urda. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his spouse, Josephine Stella; a brother, Julius Urda, and two sisters, Anna Haroulakis and Mary Margaret Mastylak.
He was an Army veteran, attended California State Teachers College and his career spanned more than thirty years at Westinghouse, Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory in West Mifflin, PA. He was a member of the American Legion in Clairton, PA.
He is survived by three loving children from a previous marriage: Lori Glasgow (Mark), Tim Urda (Maggie) and Elaine Terry; six grandchildren: Aaron Gill, Tyler Urda (Laura), Melissa and Shannon Glasgow, Connor and Brigitte Terry and one great-grandson, Lucas Urda. A memorial mass will be held at Christ the Light of the World Parish, formally Holy Name Parish, in Duquesne, PA on Friday, December 1
at 11:00 A.M.
