Mrs. Theresa Rose Petish Miller, 96, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Monarch Meadows Personal Care Home in Uniontown.
She was born on June 2, 1927 in Uniontown; the middle child of the late John and Emma (Keiser) Petish of Uniontown.
Theresa was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Army Major Anthony F. Miller on November 5, 2011.
Theresa was a life member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown; having attended grade school there for eight years. She graduated from South Union High School in 1945, where she was a member of the Reunion committee.
Theresa was employed by the A&P Tea Company, Fashion Hosiery, and White Swan Flower Shop. She was also a charter member of AMVETS Post 103 in Hopwood.
Her surviving children are son, Richard A. Miller and wife Loretta of Uniontown; and daughter, Deborah G. Patrignani and husband Christopher of Monmouth Junction, NJ. Surviving grandchildren are Cary L. Allen and wife Misty of Smithfield; Katherine E. Miller of Indiana, PA; and Anastasia Stryker and husband Keith of Orange, NJ; and five great grandchildren, Cassandra, Lexis, Jacob, and Tylar Allen and Rosalie Stryker. She is survived by a sister, Margaret Fitzpatrick of Uniontown, and a brother, John A. Petish and wife Louise of Grafton, OH. Also surviving is a sister in law, Margaret Gasparatz of Uniontown.
She was preceded in death by two sisters Cecelia Mlakar and Pauline Ondrejko.
Friends and family may call at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA 15401 on Wednesday, February 28 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A blessing service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, February 29 at 10 AM.
Interment is in St. Joseph Cemetery in Hopwood.
