Theodore Vitti, age 90 of Uniontown, Pa., loving husband and father went to be with, the Lord on Monday November 28, 2011.
He was born on April 23, 1921 the son of John and Louise (Viglietta) Vitti who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by sisters Ora Grasse, Annabelle Rice, Elizabeth Delligatti and a brother Albert Vitti.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years Elizabeth (Kozel) Vitti, daughters Kathleen Sharp and husband Kenneth, Patricia Hritz Zebrasky, grandchildren Patricia L. Sypolt, Theodore Hritz, great grandchildren Adam, Michael, Olivia, sisters Julia Hayden, Dorothy Georgiana and several loving nieces and nephews.
A member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, He was a member of the Golden Club and The Holy Name Society, Theodore was a Veteran of WWII serving in The United States Army as a technician III, a Sargeant in the Engineer Division, he worked for Martins Bakery Co. in Uniontown for 15 years, attended California University where he received his B.S. and Masters degrees in Education. He taught Industrial Arts at Trinity High School in Washington, Pa., for 21 years until his retirement. He enjoyed making wood crafts for which he was proud of and gave many away for all to treasure.
Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc. 603 North Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, Pa. Wednesday November 30, 2011 from 2-7 p.m.
The family, ask the everyone meet in St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, 61 N. Mt Vernon Ave., Uniontown, Pa., on Thursday December 1, 2011 at 11 a.m. for the Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Fr. James Clark as Celebrant.
A Parish Wake Service will be held Wednesday November 30, 2011 at 3:30 PM.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
The family would like to express their deepest thanks to Paul & Mary Jo Haragos and Bonnie and Tammy for the loving care given to their father during his brief illness, they would also like to thank Kathy Rittenhouse of Three Rivers Hospice.
