Obituary

Tammer Zeidan Gabriel passed away peacefully on July 29th, 2017 with her family by her side. Born May 15, 1937, she was the daughter of Youssef and Madem Zeidan of Abdilly, Lebanon her birthplace. She was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister, and so much more. She was predeceased by her beloved husband James Gabriel of Gabriel Brothers Inc. to whom she was married for over 50 years.

Her passions first and foremost were her family, she was a beautiful, elegant woman with a fierce devotion to her husband and children. She came to the USA as a young lady, learning to speak English and raise her five children and giving them a love of her Lebanese culture. All of her many accomplishments in life were driven by what was best for her family. She was our beautiful shining star who held us together through adversity without saying a word, leading her family by example. A woman who showed her family how to create their own legacy of love.

Her grandchildren were her greatest loves in the second half of life, and she would happily spend time with each and every one of them lovingly cooking their favorite Lebanese food and baking bread by hand. Tammer was known for making the best traditional Lebanese cuisine and happily cooked for friends and family making her home the most welcoming and loving place to be.

Her legacy is the love that she left and her never ending smile, and zest for life. She loved to laugh and had a beautiful smile that lit up a room. She was very unselfish and giving of herself, especially to her children. She is survived by her children Ann Gabriel, Gibby and Valerie Gabriel, Paul and Reta Gabriel, John and Paula Gabriel, Catherine Gabriel and Lanny Perkins. Her beautiful grandchildren include: Natalie and Ian Connolly, John Gabriel Jr, Lila Gabriel, James Gabriel, Julia Gabriel, Paul Gabriel Jr., Joseph Cummings, Jacob Cummings, and Gabrielle Cummings. Her great grandson is Domenico Connolly. She also loved her nieces and nephews, and all of her Godchildren. The Gabriel family held a special place in her heart.
She was also predeceased by her brother Asaad Zeidan, and sisters Frida Rizik, and Marguerite Nassif. Her loving brothers and sisters in Lebanon whom she loved dearly and missed daily are Adel Zeidan, Hanna Zeidan, Zeina Zeidan Younes, Antoinette Zeidan Zeeny, cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.
