Susan Renee Neighbors, 61, of Dunbar, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017. She was born on June 10, 1956 in Connellsville, Pa, daughter of Cecelia A. Lucas Neighbors of Dunbar, and the late Charles R. Neighbors. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by Thomas R. Friel, June 26, 2014.

Susan was a graduate of Connellsville High School District Class of 1974. After graduation she worked at Atlantic Financial, and then with Food Service of Connellsville Area School District.

She was a lifelong member of the Dunbar Wesley United Methodist Church, where at age 12 years she began playing the piano for Sunday School, and later for Church Services. She loved God and family, and enjoyed teaching Sunday School for the grade school children.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughters, Anna Elizabeth Friel of Connellsville, and Emma Cecilia Friel of Dunbar; and her brother, Carl L. Neighbors and his wife Pamela of Connellsville.

Friends will be received at Dunbar Wesley United Methodist Church, 81 Connellsville St, Dunbar, Pa., on Monday, August 7, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., and also on Tuesday, August 8, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., when a Celebration of Her Life will be held with Pastor Doug Johnson officiating.

Interment will follow at Green Ridge Memorial Park, Connellsville, Pa.
