A good man passed away.
Steve E. Andaloro of Hopwood, Pennsylvania passed away Monday, May 16, 2016, surrounded by his loving wife Lyn Andaloro, and two daughters, Katey M. Andaloro-Medvitz and Heather L. Andaloro.
He was born on May 4, 1955, in Uniontown, Pa., son of Betty (Palic) Andaloro, and the late Joseph Andaloro.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter Tylar L. Andaloro and father-in-law Playford D. Matthews.
He was a Laurel Highlands High School graduate, Class of 1973.
Steve was a contractor by trade, owned and operated Andaloro Construction Company for over 33 years. He was a skilled craftsman in residential and commercial designs, as well as a custom woodworker.
He was a member of the Sons of Italy of Uniontown and the B.P.O.E 370 Elks Lodge.
Steve was best known for his quick smile and infectious laugh; making you always feel welcomed and made friends easily. He was a man's man and loved by many.
Words can not express the love and joy he gave to his wife and daughters. He will be deeply missed and honored as a wonderful husband and an adored father.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Lynette (Matthews) Andaloro and beloved daughter Heather L. Andaloro of Hopwood; beloved daughter Katey M. Andaloro-Medvitz and son-in-law Ryan S. Medvitz of Charleroi, Pa; brother John Andaloro and wife Jane of Elkton, Md; sisters Diane Sandstrom and husband Peter of Phillidelphia, Pa., and Laura Roman and husband Bernie of Uniontown, Pa. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law Antoinette Matthews; brother-in-law Thomas Matthews and wife Charlotte; sisters-in-law Rebecca Mansberry and husband Earl, Annette Fabrey and Jerry Whitman, Suzette Foster and husband Mark; nieces and nephews: Douglas Matthews and wife Kimberly, Michael Fugozzotto and wife Beth, Jason Fabery and wife Trisha, Mark Foster, Jeremy Fabery and wife Tricia, David Matthews, Meghan Rordian and husband Matthew, Brad Andaloro, Sara Foster, and Sadie Foster; numerous great-nieces and nephews; and many special friends.

In celebration of Steve's life, the family will receive friends at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Friday, May 20, from 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. ; and on Saturday, May 21, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Celebration of Life services will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Saint Peter's Lutheran Church, 121 Walnut Hill Rd., Uniontown, PA, with Pastor Jim Engel Officiating.
