Stella Ann (Slofkosky) Chesnock, 95 of Oliver #1, PA, died on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Washington Hospital Donnell House, Washington, PA. She was born on June 25, 1918 in Oliver, PA, daughter of John and Mary (Zubrowski) Slofkosky.

She was the last member of her immediate family, preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul W. Chesnock in 1991, daughter, Marian Mancuso in 2011; brothers, Joseph Slofkosky, (infant) John Slofkosky, and sisters, Clara Slofkosky, and Josephine Long.

Stella was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Charter Member of St. Joseph Confraternity of Christian Mothers, member of the Catholic Mothers Club of Oliver, and member of the Pennsylvania Nurses Association.

Stella was a graduate of Uniontown Hospital School of Nursing, worked at Sanai Hospital during WWII, and served as a volunteer nurse for the Red Cross. She retired from Laurel Rest Nursing Home.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Mrs. Roger (Paulette) Pineault of Swansea, MA; grandchildren, Christopher Pineault and wife Tiffany, Jessica Manuel and husband Jack, Nicole Lynn Sheleva, and Jonathan Clark and wife Jamie; and great grandchildren, Samuel Pineault, and Madeleine Pineault.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Thursday, December 26, from 2-8 p.m.; and on Friday, December 27, until 9:15 a.m. when prayers of Transfer will be said.

The Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 180 Old Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown, PA, with Rev. Father Ronald L. Simboli as Celebrant.

Interment will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hopwood, PA.
