Stella A. Abell, 88 of Uniontown passed on Tuesday May 28, 2019 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital. Born January 22, 1931 in Keisterville, PA daughter of the late Lawrence and Anna (Daniels) Mazur; Beloved wife of the late Edward Abell; sister of the late Ignatius Mazur, Mary Bota, Anna Williams, Edward and John Mazur; She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Stella was employed by the Michael Berkowitz Shirt Factory, upon moving to Washington DC, she worked for the Doctor's Hospital and the national Wildlife Federation from where she retired. She was a recycling agent and volunteer at St. Vincent DePaul Store in Uniontown for many years, involved with the Catholic War Veterans and the Secular Franciscan Order and she enjoyed collecting things to help others. Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext, Uniontown on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM where Prayers of Transfer will be said on Saturday at 9:15 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church, Old Walnut Hill, Uniontown. Interment to follow at Mt. St. Macrina Cemetery in Uniontown.
