Obituary

Stanley G. "Stush" Kronish, 93, of McClellandtown, PA, died on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Golden Living Center, Uniontown, PA.

He was born on April 19, 1920 in Leisenring, PA, to George and Antoinette (Wadziki).

His parents, and sisters, Sophie and Antoinette Kronish preceded him in death.

Stanley was a wonderful husband, and devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish (formerly St. Thomas R.C. Church), Footedale, PA, life member of Faith-Gray-McArdle VFW Post 4584, life member of Fort Mason American Legion Post 423, and member of UMWA District 2. He served his country during WWII with the United States Navy, and retired from US Steel Corp. where he was a Coal Miner at Robena for over 50 years.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 64 years, Ethel (Kohut) Kronish; their daughter, Denise Stalnaker, with whom he made his home; two grandsons, Joel Newbraugh and wife Sheri of Alexandria, VA; Jeremy Stalnaker and wife Ashley of McClellandtown, PA; and two great grandsons, Benjamin Newbraugh and Issac Newbraugh

As were his wishes, private funeral services will be held for the family on Monday, July 15, 2013. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Haky Funeral Home, Inc., Masontown, PA.

We wish to especially thank the nurses and staff of Golden Living Center for their excellent care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to St. Francis of Assisi Parish of Western Fayette County, Footedale Worship Site.
