Stanley W. Boskovich, 91, of Masontown, PA, died peacefully at home on Friday, July 10, 2015. He was born on May 18, 1924 in Brier Hill, PA, son of the late John and Sophia (Tenza) Boskovich. In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by his wife Isabella Jane (Hribal) Boskovich on April 26, 2010; brothers, Ed, John, Frank, and Albert Boskovich; and a sister, Louise Callaghan.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Frank Boskovich and wife Tanis of Canonsburg, PA, Linda Boskovich Patrick of Masontown, PA, Carol Rennebohm of Charlotte, NC, Stanley Boskovich, Jr. and wife Kathie of Galloway, OH, Bill Boskovich of Pittsburgh, PA, and Joe Boskovich of Somers Point, NJ; 16 grandchildren, Elizabeth Barrett and husband Shawn, Bryan Boskovich and wife Autumn, Frank Patrick, Kenny Patrick and wife Megan, Andy Patrick and wife Sarah, Annie Veit and husband Sean, Heather Fisher and husband Drew, Erin Rennebohm, Jeffrey Boskovich, Stacy Birdsall and husband Zach, Richard Allen and wife Katie, Ben Boskovich, Marcus Boskovich, Hayden Boskovich, Rachel Jane Boskovich, and Megan Acetta; 9 great-grandchildren, Jack (who preceded him in death), Ethan, Bryson, Brevan, Liam, Hayden, Crosby, Ayo, Orion, and Isabell; a sister, Frances Ulicne of Hollidaysburg, PA; and many nieces and nephews and their families.

Stanley proudly served his country during WWII with the United States Army 50th Armored Infantry Battalion. He was awarded 5 Bronze Service Stars and a Purple Heart in the European-African Theater of Operations Campaign in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe.

Stanley retired from United States Steel Corp. Robena Mine, as General Maintenance Foreman. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish (formerly All Saints Roman Catholic Church) of Masontown, where he served as Usher and volunteer during parish festivals. He was a member of the Faith-Gray-McArdle VFW Post 4584, Fort Mason American Legion Post 423, and the Knights of Columbus.

Stanley devoted his life to his family, and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Friends will be received at the Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 515 N. Main St., Masontown, PA on Monday, July 13, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m; and on Tuesday, July 14, until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

The Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 101 S. Washington St., Masontown, PA, with Rev. Father William G. Berkey as Celebrant.

Entombment will be held at Lafayette Memorial Park Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, Brier Hill, PA, where military honors will be accorded by Faith-Gray-McArdle VFW Post 4584.
