Saundra (Enany) Faris, Ph.D, 75, of Uniontown, Pa., died Sunday, January 7, 2018 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital. She was born January 30, 1942, in Uniontown, the daughter of James Edward and Elizabeth Ann (Hurley) Enany.
Saundra was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Mark William Faris, and sisters, Alice Kagel and Kathy Bush.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church and the Jefferson Club. Saundra earned a Ph.D in Education from West Virginia University and dedicated her life to her family.
Her generosity stretched well beyond her family, she had a smile for everyone and always put the needs and happiness of others first. She adored her grandchildren and lived every day to the fullest. Her family and loved ones were the main priority in her life.
Left to cherish her memory is her fianc Anthony J. Kovach, Esq. of Uniontown; four sons, Richard Faris and wife Cara of Greensburg, Barry Faris of Uniontown and fiance Beth Gates of Irwin; David Faris and wife Mia of Uniontown, Craig Faris and wife Victoria of Greensburg; 11 grandchildren: Ryan and Payton, Chelsea, Chloe, and Corey, Nicole, Kate, and Franki, CJ, Zachary, and Sophia; 2 sisters, Rosanne Strouth and husband Michael of Wappingers Falls, N.Y., Jane Strouth and husband Terry of Fenton, Mo.; Four brothers, James Enany and wife Wilma of Cypress, Texas, Rick Enany and wife Karla and Michael Enany and wife Debbie, all of San Jose, Calif., and Mark Enany and wife Roby of Lake Arrowhead, Calif.; a brother-in-law, Larry Bush; numerous nieces, nephews, their families and many friends.
Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, Pa., on Thursday, January 11, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.; and on Friday, January 12, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
The Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 50 Jefferson St., Uniontown, Pa., with Rev. Father James D. Tringhese as main celebrant, and Chorbishop John D. Faris as concelebrant.
Interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
