Obituary

Roy Lawrence Wheeler, age 76 of Brownsville, PA, went to be with the Lord and Savior, with his loving family at his side on Sunday, December 26, 2010.

He was born in Colorado on January 24, 1934.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Frances (Patty Woods) Wheeler; two daughters, Debbie (Dennis) Smith and Lorna Freund; three step-sons, Jerald (Tonya) Friend, Ronald (Bobbi Jo) Friend, and Robert Friend; adopted daughter by Faith, Theresa (John) Armel; 11 grandchildren; a great grandson; and a brother Harold (Joyce) Wheeler.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Ron, and brother Chuck.

Roy served in the United States Air Force from 1951-1953. He retired from Prudential Financial. He and his wife owned and operated Tri-County Home Health Care for 18 years; for this he received Businessman of the Year Award. He also was a devoted member and usher at Faith Assembly of God.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff of Albert Gallatin Hospice.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Wednesday and Thursday, December 29 and December 30, from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m.

The family will receive friends in the Faith Assembly of God, 690 Morgantown Road, Uniontown, PA on Friday, December 31, 2010 from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., the Hour of Service, with Pastor Mike Outrich Officiating.

Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA, where military honors will be accorded by Faith-Gray-McArdle VFW Post 4584.
