Rose Marie Burchianti, 89, of Masontown, passed away after a lengthy illness on Friday, August 23, 2013.She was born on June 13, 1924, in Ward, WV., a daughter of the late Fioravanti and Clementina Angelini.
Rose's kind spirit touched and changed the lives of many people. She was an exemplary mother, wife, and grandmother. She showed her love of family by keeping them well fed with the wonderful food she cooked. She and her husband operated Fairdale Cash Market in Carmichaels for many years. During WWII, she indirectly served our country when she worked as an aircraft propeller inspector.
She is survived by her loving son, Karl Burchianti of Masontown; daughter, Adele Lynn of Belle Vernon; granddaughter, Janele Rose Lynn (fianc James Tuttle) of Annandale, VA.; brother Ralph (Marge) Angelini; sister-in-law Ann Burchianti and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aladino A. Burchianti; sister, Josephine Egidi; brother, August Angelini; and her son-in-law, William L. Lynn.
Family and friends are welcome from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, August 26 in the Haky Funeral Home, Inc. Masontown, PA. 515 N. Main St. Masontown, PA. Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9:30 A.M. on Tuesday, August 27, followed at 10:00 A.M. by a Funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, located at 101 South Washington St.,Masontown, PA., with the Rev. Fr. James F. Pertrovsky as celebrant.
Interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or the charity of your choice. The family extends a special thanks to the caring staff at Celtic Health Care and Victoria House and to St. Rose.
