Rosalia "Rose" (Sulik) Ciez, 90 of Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. She was born on June 9, 1928 in Footedale, Pa., daughter of the late Anthony B. Sulik, Sr. and Magdalene (Owcarcz) Sulik. In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, William M. Ciez, Sr.; siblings, John Sulik, Sophia Fronczek, Rev. Father Augustine Sulik, Michael Sulik, Joseph Sulik, and Anthony Sulik, Jr.

Rose was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, the Confraternity of Christian Mothers, Easter Seal Society, member and past secretary of the Blind Association during the mid 1940's. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Martin A. Ciez at home, twin sons Bernard M. Ciez and Leonard J. Ciez, both of Uniontown, Magdeline F. Glasgow and husband Malcom of Gahanna, OH, William M. Ciez, Jr. of Uniontown, Augustine Ciez and wife Linda of Belle Vernon, Stanley P. Ciez and wife Debra of Union Beach, NJ, Frank J. Ciez and wife Heather, and Gregory B. Ciez of Uniontown; grandchildren, Amber Herkert and husband Eric, Sarah Ciez, Danielle Ciez, Christopher Ciez, Ella Ciez, Addie Ciez, and Brittany; great grandchildren, Lucas Herkert, Morgan Herkert, Audreana Lessman and Greyson Lessman; sisters, Marie Rifenburg of Virginia and Catherine Sulik of Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, Pa. on Monday, November 26 from 6-8 p.m.; Tuesday, November 27, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.; and until 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 28 when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

The Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 180 Old Walnut Hill Rd., Uniontown, Pa.

Interment will be held at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Blind Association, Uniontown, Pa.

St. Joseph's Confraternity of Christian Mothers will recite prayers on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
