July 11, 1957 – November 15, 2023
Ms. Robin Sevachko, 66, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Mt. Macrina Manor.
She was born in Uniontown on July 11, 1957 to the late Joseph and Anna Fiffick Sevachko.
Robin graduated from Laurel Highlands High School, class of 1974. She attended Johnson & Wales Culinary Institute for two years.
She was a member of St. John Baptist Byzantine Church, The Greek Catholic Union, and of the Elks Lodge 370.
Robin is survived by two sisters, Joann Schittl and husband Eric of Myersville, MD, and Maryann Krause of Venice, FL; a nephew, Scott Schittl and wife Eszter of Hungary; two great nephews, Istvan Pio and Peter Charbel Schittl; several cousins, Judy Weitzel of Broadview Hts., OH, Susan St. John and husband Steve of Venice, FL, Bobby Weitzel and wife Kristin of Chagrin Falls, OH, and Sister Bernarda of Sisters of Saint Basil, Uniontown; and many, many friends in the area, in the United States, and "across the pond".
She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Sevachko; a brother in law, John Krause; and cousins, Sisters Leocadia and Dorothy.
Robin's life was not short of experiences and joy. Through the years, she worked as a CNA, in the Agnor Hurt Elementary School cafeteria, montessori assistant, and catering with Hot Cakes Cafe all in Charlottesville. While catering, Robin was able to work for many celebrity's functions, including, Dave Matthews, John Grisham, and many more.
She traveled to many countries throughout her life, including Budapest, Hungary, Germany, Ireland, France, Switzerland, Italy, and Amsterdam, Netherlands. She enjoyed watching the "Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies" band play in the Charlottesville area. She loved the 70's era music, especially Eddie Van Halen. Robin was an active golfer in her spare time. Robin's faith was very important to her.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 11 AM at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA 15401, with Father Jerome Botsko officiating.
Inurnment will be in Mt. St. Macrina Cemetery.
