Obituary

Robert W. Stiner, age 83, of Lemont Furnace, PA., passed at Mt. Macrina Manor, in Uniontown, on Sunday, November 17, 2013. Robert was born in Perryopolis, PA., on February 22, 1930 son of the late John and Elizabeth K. (Paroda) Stiner Jr.

Robert was a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown and former member of St. Cecilia Chapel of Lemont Furnace. Robert was a veteran of the Korean War, a lifetime member of the Coolspring AC Club, lifetime member of the former VFW Post #47, member of the AMVETS Post #103, and the North Union Volunteer Fire Department. Robert was also a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

Robert was preceded in death by his Parents, and a twin brother William P. Stiner,

Left to cherish his memory are, his brother, George J. Stiner Sr., and wife, Helen Rose of Republic, PA., his sister, Mary C. Medved and husband, Joseph of Lemont Furnace, PA.; nieces and nephews Monica Weisberg, and husband, Richard and their children Aaron and Gabrielle, George J. Stiner Jr., and Gregory W. Stiner Sr. and wife Angela, and their children, Elizabeth and Gregory Jr.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 from 2-8 PM, and Thursday, November 21 until 9:30AM., the when Prayers of Transfer will be held.

A Funeral Mass will immediately follow at St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, in Uniontown, with Rev. Fr. Peter L. Peretti as Celebrant, starting at 10:00AM

Interment will immediately follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.

The Parish Wake will be held in the Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 20 at 3:30 PM.

Military Honors will be accorded by AMVETS post # 103
