Robert Stone "Bob" Smalley Sr. 84 of Lemont Furnace passed away on Saturday August 3, 2024. Born March 6, 1940 in Uniontown, PA. Son of the late Russell and Cecilia Smalley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Robert S. Smalley Jr., Brothers Jack Murphy, Russell Smalley, Richard (Late Chris) Smalley, his sister Penny Vall and friends Ray Hall and Mark Garletts. He is survived by his daughter Paula (Bud) Hall, his son Bryant (Angela) Smalley and his grandchildren Jenna (Tim) Smalley and Dalton Hall. Also survived by his sister-in-laws Linda Smalley and Patti Pegg and brother-in-law Donald Vall and special friends Robert and Deborah Hawk, his extended family Rex (Ky) Silbaugh, Rose Hall, Sheila (Jimmy) Cole, Jordan Cole and daughter Hadley Bodkin, Joann Garletts and family and many nieces and nephews. Bob was born with a heart defect and was not expected to live past 13 years of age yet he celebrated his 84th birthday. He loved to tell stories about his stock car racing days with the Hickle family and continued to follow his passion of NASCAR. Special thanks to Patricia Chaney and also to WVU Medicine Hospice.
