Robert D. "Bobby" Reed Jr., 68, of Lemont Furnace, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 19, 1949, in Connellsville, PA, a son of the late Robert D. Reed Sr. and Mary Elizabeth (Coburn).

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Reed; and his grandson, Cameron Raffle.

Bobby was a proud member of the North Union VFD for 47 years. He truly enjoyed the time that he spent there. He was also a member of the Fayette County Fireman's Association and Western Fireman's Association.

Bobby, who is blind and who has never taken a music lesson in his life, taught himself how to make music and credits God with giving him his amazing talent.  His ability made him a music icon in the greater Pittsburgh area throughout his life and is well known and well respected by other musicians.

Left to cherish his memory, are his loving wife, of 45 years, Donna L. Reed; his children, Robert D. Reed III and his wife Michelle, and Lisa (Reed) Raffle; grandchildren, Marissa Hoff, Bryan Raffle, Leighan Reed, Matthew Reed, Owen Reed, and Noah Reed; his brothers,  Lawrence "Pat" Reed, Tony Reed, and Shawn Reed; a special friend, Suzie Goodwin; and his dog and best friend, Rori.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Friday, March 16, from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, March 17, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.

The Funeral Service will be held Sunday, March 18, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Robert Miller Officiating.

Interment will be privately held in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
