Robert J. Petcheny, 81, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026, Memorial Day.

He was born on August 22, 1945, the son of the late Joseph Petcheny, Jr. and Thelma Kattaron Petcheny. Bob was a 1963 graduate of German Township Senior High School, where he excelled in football and later attended Fairmont State University.

Bob faithfully served his country in the United States Army as a Military Policeman during the Vietnam War. He was a businessman and the owner and operator of BJ’s Sports Bar in Uniontown. Bob was passionate about sports, was an avid golfer, and enjoyed spending time with his family and beloved pets.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald E. Petcheny, and his sister, Donna J. Petcheny.

He will be lovingly remembered by his life partner, Bernadine Wesolowsky of Uniontown; his brother, Edward A. Petcheny and wife, Ann; loving niece, Nicole Petcheny; nephew, E.J. Petcheny; his sister, Elaine R. Rantovich, and her son, nephew, Ryan N. Rantovich.
