Robert J. "Bob" Dayner, Jr., 75, of Lemont Furnace, Pa., passed away at Mount Macrina Manor surrounded by his loving wife and family on Saturday, June 2, 2018. He was born in Uniontown, Pa., on December 18, 1942, son of the late Robert J. and Betty Dayner. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Joe Dayner.

Left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife of 55 years, Anne M. (Cosgrove) Dayner; a brother Dave Dayner of Florida; and many nieces, nephews and family members. He also leaves behind his pet, "Jenny".

Bob graduated from Uniontown High School Class of 1960, then proudly served his country during the Vietnam War with the United States Army. Following his service, he was employed in Management with US Steel Corp, Clairton Works, for 32 years before retirement . Bob served as lifetime member and Past Commander of the George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103, member of the VFW, and lifetime member of the Fayette County V.V.I. He was a wonderful husband, brother, brother-in-law and uncle, who will be deeply missed.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc. 603 N. Gallatin Avenue Ext., Uniontown, Pa. on Tuesday, June 5, from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m.; and also on Wednesday, June 6, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the Hour of Service with Reverend Heather Simpson officiating.

Interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, where military services will be accorded by Amvets Post 103.

Services will be held by Fayette County Vietnam Veterans Inc. on Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m.
