Robert J. "Bob" Kukan, 70, of Uniontown, Pa., died on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital. He was born on July 17, 1947 in Uniontown, son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Hanzes) Kukan.

Bob was a retired Coal Miner, and member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 20, Uniontown Eagles Aires 828, Valley Sportsman's Club, Uniontown Polish Club, Connellsville Slovak Citizen's Club, American Legion Post 51 and Legion Bikers, Fayette County ABATE, and the Knights of Columbus.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Bruce Kukan and wife Sandy of Uniontown, PA., Bobbi Jo Chapman and husband James of Charleston, W.Va., Brian Kukan and fianc Jomirah Eisenman of North Hollywood, Ca., and John Kukan of Kaiserslautern, Germany; four grandchildren, Presslee Kitis, Joseph Chapman, Amelia Chapman, and Anna Chapman; a brother, Joseph A. Kukan and wife Doreen; and two sisters, Barbara Furajter, and Jean Martin and husband Charles, all of Uniontown, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Friday, February 9, from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m., and on Saturday, February 10, when Prayers of Transfer will be said at 11:30 a.m.

The Funeral Mass will follow on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. in St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, 61 N. Mount Vernon Ave., Uniontown, Pa., with Rev. Father Peter L. Peretti as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary (Nativity) Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.

The Parish Wake Service led by the Lazarus Ministry will be held on Friday at 3 p.m.
The Uniontown Fire Dept. will hold a vigil service on Friday at 7 p.m.
