Robert Alton Emerick, 79, of Uniontown, PA, died at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, April 26, 2014. He was born on February 11, 1935 in Connellsville, PA, son of the late Alton and Gertrude (Piper) Emerick

Bob was a member of the Community United Methodist Church. He retired from Rockwell International where he was a Metallurgist for over 30 years. During the Korean War he served his country with the United States Navy. He was a member of George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103, Laurel Lodge #651 F&AM, and lifetime member of Hutchinson Sportsman's Club.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 56 years, Betty Ruth (Junk) Emerick; two sons, Michael Emerick and wife Michele of Long Beach, CA, Thomas Emerick and wife Melissa, and grandson Jude, all of Alexandria, VA.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Monday, April 28 from 5-8 p.m.; and on Tuesday, April 29, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.

The Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Terrance A. Teluch and Lay Pastor Daniel L. Brant Officiating.

Interment will be private at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
