Mr. Robert E. Arnold, Sr., 92, of Waltersburg, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Mt. Macrina Manor, returning home to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and his family.
He was born in Waltersburg on May 23, 1931 to the late Harry and Dollie Osler Arnold. He formally lived in the Rowes Run area.
Robert married Veronica Vaji. She preceded him in death on May 26, 1994.
He retired from the Clairton Steel Mill after forty-two years of employment.  He had various jobs before he started at Clairton Steel Mill.
Robert was a loving father and husband.  He enjoyed tinkering around the house, fishing, hunting, and camping at Big Bear, Summerset, and High Point.
He is survived by a son, Robert E. Arnold, Jr. and girlfriend Nola Marie Bryner of Waltersburg; daughter, Donna Daniels of Uniontown; grandchildren, Lisa Brennan and Jamie Labin; step daughter, Rose Marie Veatch; and several other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and two close friends, Harry Savage and Brian Reese, and many others.
Robert was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Tomick; a son, James Arnold; two grandsons, David Long and Michael Long; a brother, Ernest Arnold; two sisters, Sevilla Gibson and Norma Jean Springer; and two step children, Walter Vaji and Helen Morris.
Friends and family are invited to the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA 15401 on Monday, March 18th for calling hours from 11 AM to 1 PM, at which time the funeral service will be held at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Coldren officiating of the Liberty Baptist Church.
Interment is in Lafayette Memorial Park.
