Richard W. Logue, of Fairbank, Pa., passed away suddenly in his sleep at the age of 48 on Monday, September 3, 2018 at home. He was born in Brownsville on July 30, 1970.
Richard graduated from Brownsville High School Class of 1988 and for the past 10 years has been employed with Auto Zone as Commercial Manager. Prior to that he also worked for Stroehmann Bakeries. He loved all animals, and rescued horses. He served as the Director for the County Animal Response Team, a rescue organization. He was also a member of the Brownville Fire Company Station #1.
It was said by his family that Richard never knew a stranger, that he treated everyone he met with respect and kindness. He was a great son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and nephew, and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his loving parents, Robert W. Logue, Sr. and Etta (Huffman) Logue, with whom he made his home; loving friend, Wendy Breakiron of Brownsville; his children, Richard Kennedy of Dunbar (fiancé Erica); Jennifer Wiles (Joey) of Smithfield; their mother, Laurie Logue of Smithfield; grandchildren, Joe Joe and Jazmine; a sister, Peggy Beruk (Steve) of Monessen; a brother, Robert W. Logue, Jr. (Sherry) of New Salem; his godmother, Irene Unruh of Pittsburgh; nephew, Roger Lehman, Jr. (Jenn) their children Jeremiah, Kaleb, MaKenzie, and Sydney all of Uniontown; brother-in-law, Roger Lehman, Sr. of Grindstone ; niece, Nicole Lehman of Grindstone; nephew, Timothy Logue (Amber) their daughter Belle Marie of Uniontown, who was his goddaughter; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and their families; and thousands of friends.
Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, Pa., on Thursday September 6, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.; and Friday, September 7, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The Funeral Service will follow at 8 p.m. on Friday evening with Rev. A. J. Jones Officiating.
Brownsville Fire Company Station #1 will conduct a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Thursday evening.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Brownsville Fire Company Station #1, 520 Market St., Brownsville, Pa. 15417
