He was a graduate of Laurel Highlands High School Class of 1971 and earned a bachelor’s degree from Robert Morris University in Business Administration and Economics. He was a entrepreneur and owned Northside Market for a number of years and had managed rental properties before his retirement. A member of the RCB Association, he was an avid golfer, loved the outdoors, animals, hiking and the Steelers and Penguins.

He is survived by his daughter Jennifer Koslick of Pittsburgh; his sisters Linda Provance and husband Gerry of Metarie LA and Karen Koslick of Davenport, IA, his nieces and nephews; James Rizer and wife Jill and their son Dax, Deena “Belle” Couget and husband Ryan, Michael Valerius and Jessica Williams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Richard W Koslick Jr. and his nephew Gerry Provance Jr.,

Jennifer shared: “My father was always brave & courageous trusting in Jesus. He is now with the Lord who he always wanted to be with, and he was content knowing &trusting Christ Jesus his Lord & Savior who he had a very tight relationship with.”

Alyssa Deal shared “Rick has been a companion and great friend for a number of years. Over the years we have had a father daughter relationship. With me referring to him as dad, and rick referring to me as his daughter. And also, Jen and I feel like we have been like sisters and rick has always preached to me and Jen about knowing the lord, often listening to sermons and bible studies, and wished for us to both become solid Christians that would enable us to be with him in heaven.”

Rick had said today is the last day of my life but a day of joy for me knowing I will be with Christ Jesus. I have looked forward to being with the Lord for quite some time and happy to spend peace, joy, love, forgiveness in my infinite life.
