Richard G. "Gov" Hudock, age 80, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Monday January 2, 2017 in Peroni Personal Care Home.

He was born on February 1, 1936, a son of the late George and Ann (Dvorchak) Hudock.

Mr. Hudock was a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church; he was was a graduate of South Union High School class of 1953, He went on to work at Thorofare Market in Uniontown, Pa., for several years and then ran his own heavy equipment business for 40 years. In the later years he was the owner/operator of a chainsaw sharpening business maintaining a huge customer base, Richard was an avid hunter his entire life, there was nothing he enjoyed more than a good day hunting!

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Richard is survived by his two sisters, Audrey (Hudock) Palya of Uniontown, Pa., Patricia (Hudock) Myers of Uniontown, Pa., nieces and nephews, Edward C. Myers of Rostraver, Pa., Maribeth A. Myers of Dover, Pa., Douglas E. Myers of Smock, Pa., Michael Palya of Uniontown, Pa., Michele Palya of Uniontown, Pa., Maryann "Payla" Verbus, Uniontown, Pa., and many beloved great nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc. 603 North Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, Pa., on Wednesday January 4, 2017 from 4-9 p.m. and on Thursday January 5, 2017 until 9:30 a.m., when prayers of transfer will be said.

A Mass of Christian burial will follow in St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church at 10 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Peter Peretti as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.

A Parish Wake Service will be held Wednesday at 5:30 PM.
