Richard Domonkos Sr. 77 of Perryopolis, PA passed away suddenly on Sunday January 25, 2026.

He was born on March 4, 1948 in Mt Pleasant, PA; and was the son of the late William and Margaret (Farkus) Domonkos.

A resident of Perryopolis, Mr. Domonkos was a member of St. Johnthe Baptist RC Church of Perryopolis. Rich grew up in Perryopolis, went to Frazier High School and graduated in 1966.

Rich served in the US Army from 1966-1970 during the Tet Offensive in the Vietnam War where he received a Meritorious Service Medal for his actions.

He worked for US Steel and Consolidated Coal at Robena and Dilworth Mines and was a member of the UMWA and the VFW Post 7023 in Perryopolis.

Rich was dedicated to his family and loved working with his hands. He also enjoyed spending

time with his son working on cars and participating in car shows and events with his classic Mustangs.

He is survived by his loving wife Joyce Kuznar Domonkos, to whom he was married 57 years; Son & Daughter-in law, Richard & Tammy (Jobes) Domonkos of Uniontown, Son, Jeffrey Domonkos & Marc Smith of Florida, Son-In-Law & Daughter Dave & Tonya (Domonkos) Altman of Perryopolis, One grandchild, Mercades Lynn Martin of Perryopolis & two Great Grandaughters, Kailyn & Braeleigh Martin - Brother William (Deceased) and Wife Dee Domonkos, Brother and Sister-in-law Steve & Sue Domonkos of Connellsville, Brother and Sister-in-law Mike & Lynn Domonkos of Perryopolis; two sisters & brother in law Peggy (Domonkos) & Ted Sebetich of Arnold City and Mary Ellen Domonkos of Midway.

Visitation for Rich will be held at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA 15401 on Wednesday, January 28th from 6 to 8 PM and Thursday, January 29th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A blessing service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 30th at 11 AM.

Entombment is in Lafayette Memorial Park.
