Richard W. "Bill" Jeney, 81 of Connellsville, Pa., (Bullskin Township) passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018. He was born in Granville, Pa. on February 15, 1937, son of the late John Jeney, Jr. and Ruth Irene (Sabolsky) Jeney of Richeyville, PA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 16 years, Jane, in March of 1997.

Bill was a graduate of Centerville High School Class of 1955 as well as California University Class of 1959. He was a Science teacher at Beth- Center Junior High School from 1959 through 1966, and coached Junior High School basketball. He was also an avid golfer.

In January 1967 he became employed as a Vocational Rehabilitation Job Counselor with the Bureau of Rehabilitation at the Johnstown office. He was later transferred to the office of Vocational Rehabilitation at Washington, PA. in 1975, from which he retired in April of 1990. He then took a job with the Donald Miller Roofing Company where he worked in the Uniontown office, officially retiring in May of 1991.

He is survived by three daughters, , Kathleen Skrobacs and husband Joseph of Richeyville, Pa.; Tana Rene Bontrager of Brownsville, PA; and Terri Lee Bowen and husband Don of Fredericktown, Pa; eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren; special friend Robert "Bob" Brown of Connellsville, PA, and his dog "Missy", his closest companion.

Private funeral services are under the direction of the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, and the Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
