Obituary

Regina Ann (Basinsky) Pocratsky, 87, of Uniontown, PA, died on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Mount Macrina Manor Nursing Home. She was born on Tuesday, February 14, 1928 in Balsinger, PA, daughter of the late Conrad and Anna (Joswick) Basinsky.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Fred V. Pocratsky on September 18, 2002, and also a sister Clara Ryan.

Regina was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, and was a graduate of Redstone Township High School Class of 1945. She retired from Anchor-Hocking after 28 years as a Glass Selector and Quality Inspector. Regina was in the Antique business for many years featuring glass collectables, hosting shows and events at the Franklin Mall and many other local venues. She loved going to auctions, as she had done with her late husband who shared her passion for aged treasures. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother, and will be deeply missed.

Surviving are her sons, Fred D. Pocratsky and Conrad F. Pocratsky and wife Ellen, all of Uniontown; cherished grandchildren, Derek Pocratsky of Uniontown, Daniel Pocratsky and wife Christine of Hopwood, and David Pocratsky and girlfriend Amanda of Uniontown; a sister, Rafael Stavischak of Uniontown; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff members of Amedysis Hospice and Mount Macrina Nursing Home, for their dedicated and compassionate care.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Friday, March 20, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.; and Saturday, March 21, until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be held.

The Funeral Mass will follow on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 180 Old Walnut Hill Rd., Uniontown, PA, with Rev. Father Ronald L. Simboli as Celebrant.

Interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA
