Regina Nilson, 75 of Uniontown, passed away on May 31, 2025 at Monarch Meadows Personal Care Home.
She was born in Uniontown on November 6, 1949 to the late Theodore F. and Irene Kosco Budinsky.
Regina graduated from Laurel Highlands High School, class of 1967.
She married Mr. Walter Nilson; he preceded her in death on July 27, 1992.
Regina was a member of St. Mary Church.
Her early career was in travel, having worked for PANAM and for a travel agency. She later moved to Tennessee and worked for a church there for ten years. She then retired from Community Action as a teacher's aide.
Regina is survived by her son, John Nilson and wife Catherine of Uniontown; two step-daughters, Eva and Noreen; eight grandchildren, Audrey, Aeryn, Amelia, Mary Grace, Paul, Matthew, Neil, and Sean; a brother, Edward Budinsky and wife Theresa of Greensboro; a close cousin, Patty Gadek of Uniontown; a sister-in-law, Mary Budinsky of Olalla, WA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a brother, David Budinsky
Memorial visitation will be held at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA 15401 on Friday, June 13th from 3 to 6 PM. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, June 14th at 10 AM at St. Mary Church, 61 N. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA 15401.
Inurnment is in St. Mary Cemetery.
