Frankhouser
August 9, 1959 – January 27, 2025
Mr. Raymond E. Frankhouser, 65, of Uniontown, passed away at his home on Monday, January 27, 2025.
He was born in Uniontown on August 9, 1959 to the late Raymond Gerald and Charlotte Ann Kantorik Frankhouser.
Raymond graduated from Uniontown High School, class of 1977. He went on to obtain many certifications for electrician and machining including, Maintenance Electricity from Fayette Institute of Commerce and Technology in 1985, Master Machinist from National Tooling and Machining Association, and Mast Mold Machinist from World Kitchen Inc.
He previously worked for Bernard Proy in HVAC for five years; he then started a career in 1990 with Corning Glass, and retired from them in April of 2021 as a machinist. Raymond and a fellow co-worker, developed an improved printing patent, which is still in use today at Corning Glass Corporate.
Raymond enjoyed anything to do with outdoors – hunting, fishing, hiking, wood crafting, and gardening. He enjoyed going to cash bashes all over the area, and loved his cat, Mandy – whom will need a good home to go to.
He is survived by two sisters, Carla Ann Hager, RN and husband Keith of Smock, and Laura Kristin Frankhouser of Greenwich Village, NY and companion Chris Birch of Walsall, England; two nieces and a nephew, Shannon Riggar and husband Bob of Connellsville, Melissa Hamaker of Smock, and Kevin Hager of Smock; great nieces and nephew, Ashlynn Martin, Mariah and Luke Hamaker; several cousins; friends, Tom Seal and wife Diane and Donnie Lutes and wife of the Monongahela area.
In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Brian Matthew Frankhouser, DDS; and nephew in law, Greg Hamaker.
Visitation for Raymond will be held at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA 15401 on Friday, January 31st from 2 to 8 PM. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, February 1st at 10 AM at St. Mary Nativity Church, 61 N. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA 15401.
Interment is in Lafayette Memorial Park.
