Phyllis Watson, 88, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Cherry Tree Nursing Home. She was born in Uniontown on April 12, 1930, daughter of William Bainbridge, Jr. and Samantha (Gribble) Bainbridge. Her parents, brother William Bainbridge III., nephew William Bainbridge IV., and companion Wilbur Watson preceded her in death.

Phyllis was an accomplished musician and played many instruments including the violin and piano. She loved attending Bluegrass Festivals and Center in the Woods music jams.

After she graduated from high school she worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone, retiring after many years from Verizon. She was a member of the New Salem Christian Church, and former Hopwood Christian Church where she served as organist.

Surviving are her children, Diana L. Sepkovic and husband Jimmy, Kimberly I. Mayne, and David B. Watson and wife Leslee; step-children, Brent Watson and Pam Drilak; grandchildren, Timothy T. Thompson, Jeffrey J. Thompson, David Watson, Jr., Mallory Singer, Morgan Watson, Megan Watson, Adam Watson, and several step-grandchildren; great grandchildren, Cameron Thompson, Jimmy Thompson, and Leah Thompson; a sister, Gloria Schneider and husband Louis; and nephews, Samuel Schneider, William Schneider, and Rev. Dr. Gary Schneider.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, Pa. on Friday, September14, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.; and on Saturday morning until 11 a.m., the Hour of Service with Rev. Dr. Gary Schneider, her nephew officiating.

Private interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
