Philip John Michael, born on February 8, 1973, passed away surrounded by loved ones on June 6, 2024. He was the beloved son of Thomas and Barbara (Shady) Michael.
Philip is survived by his loving wife, Tricia Carbonara Michael, and their cherished sons, Noah (Kassi) and Benjamin. He will be deeply missed by his brothers, Charles (Ginelle) and Thomas, and his mother-in-law, Joyce Carbonara.
He was a devoted brother-in-law to Michelle (Jerry) Bubonovich and Gina (Andrew) Baugh. Philip will be remembered fondly by his nieces and nephews: Cole Michael, Amelia and Toufie Michael, Alex and Mikki Timperio, and Mia, Eli, and Max Baugh.
Philip was blessed with a vast network of loving and supportive aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will cherish his memory forever.
Philip's passion for education was evident in his academic achievements. He graduated from California University with a bachelor's degree in Education (History) and later pursued a Master's in Special Education. Additionally, he earned a Master's in Business Administration from Waynesburg University.
Throughout his career, Philip dedicated himself to public service. He served as a former Uniontown City councilman and taught in various school districts, including both West Mifflin and Mapletown School. He was a prominent figure in the community, serving as President of the Uniontown Rotary Club, Head of the Uniontown Sewage Authority, and a member of the Uniontown Chamber of Commerce. Philip was also an active member of St. George Maronite Catholic Church.
Philip's commitment to public safety led him to serve as a Pennsylvania State Constable. He was also known for his work as a WMBS radio broadcaster and as a Master Defensive Tactics Instructor for Penn State.
Philip John Michael leaves behind a legacy of service, dedication, and love. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
Funeral arrangements for Philip John Michael will be held at Haky's Funeral Home, located at 603 N Gallatin Ave Ext, Uniontown, PA 15401, with interment to follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
Visitation hours will take place on Sunday, June 9, 2024, from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA 15401. The funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. George Maronite Catholic Church, 6 Lebanon Terrace, Uniontown, PA 15401 with Father Aaron Sandbothe officiating.
The family kindly requests donations be made in Philip's memory to the Uniontown Rotary Walk, c/o Fayette Chamber of Commerce, 65 W. Main St., Suite 107, Uniontown, PA 15401 and/or to the Fayette EMS, 102 W. Crawford Ave., Connellsville, PA 15425.
