Peter Blatnick of Uniontown, formerly of Sacramento, California, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 12, 2017. He was 94 years young.
He was born on June 23, 1923 in Fairchance, PA; the youngest of eleven children. As an orphan, he survived the Great Depression and went on to serve his country proudly in the United States Navy during World War Two before moving to California.
He was an Elder in the Church of Latter Day Saints in Sacramento, California where he lived most of his adult life.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Elaine and son Michael, his parents Paul and Mary Blatnica and the following brothers and sisters: Francis Blatnick, Paul Blatnick, Steve Blatnick and his wife Margaret, Michael and wife Sara, Constantine and wife Ann, John and wife Olive, Rose and husband Steve Vesnovsky, Mary and husband Don Elleard, Anne and husband Louis Adamovich, and Helen and husband Louis DePaolis.
He is survived by the following nieces and nephews: David DePaolis, with whom he made his home, Rita and husband Michael Dorobish, Mary Genovese, and Mary Ann Moriarty, all of Uniontown, Don DePaolis and his wife Kathy and great nephews Anthony, Julian, and Rafael all of Pittsburgh, John and his wife Sandy of Meadeville, PA, Dorothy Scarpino of Verona, PA, and special granddaughter Tina Owens and Husband Charles of Clovis, CA, and many other nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Funeral Services will be private. Interment will be in Sacramento, CA. Contributions can be made to your favorite charity in his name.
