Paul John Zuker, 73, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, died on February 9, 2010.

Paul was born in Lemont Furnace, PA on January 6, 1937, a son of the late John and Helen Zuker. His brother, Richard Zuker, pre-deceased him. Paul was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Jane, and his son, Paul Jr.

Paul is survived by his daughter, Dawn Jolly and husband Richard of Mount Vernon, VA, two step-sons Frank Alvin of Exton, PA, and Mark Alvin and wife Denise of Richmond, VA, four grand-children Austin, Travis, Leah, and Jenna, two aunts Velma Lamance of Lemont Furnace, PA, and Frances Cornish of Addison, PA, numerous other family members, and a wide circle of cherished friends.

Paul graduated from North Uniontown High School in 1954 and attended California State Teachers College (now known as California University of PA) located in California, PA. He settled in the Northern Virginia area while serving in the US Air Force in the 1950s. Paul enjoyed a long career with Giant Food, Inc. He spent most of his 30+ years with Giant Food as a General Store Manager. After retiring, Paul relocated to Myrtle Beach in 1991.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, PA, on Friday, July 30, 2010, from noon to 2 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. and interment in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the Zuker family maintains a tax-deductible scholarship fund and requests donations be made to this fund to assist young people with spinal cord injuries attain a college education.
