Paul Peter Jendral, II, age 90, died on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Lafayette Manor Nursing Home.
He was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania on July 12, 1924, the son of Paul Peter Jendral and Anna (Rolinc) Jendral.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 61 years Doris (Gavlik) Jendral, his son Peter Jendral, his brother Frank Jendral, and his sister Pauline Sankovich Jendral.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Rosemary A. Jendral (Molnar), a special sister-in-law Diane (Gavlik) Ammirato and husband Frank of Charlotte, NC, and granddaughters Beth Nitchman and husband Craig of Murrysville, PA, and Vicki Lee Keogh and husband Sean of Chevy Chase, MD, and great-grandchildren Veronica, Julia, Grace, and Grant Nitchman, and Liam Keogh. Also, several nieces and nephews.
Mr. J., as he was fondly called, graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. He was a registered pharmacist and owner of Jendral's Pharmacy for over 50 years.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II, and fought at the Battle of the Bulge. He received a Purple Heart for his injuries.
A private family gathering will be held at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA. Interment will be privately held at Mount Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
