IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patrick "Joe"
Roberts, Jr.
February 27, 1976 – January 9, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Patrick Joseph Roberts Jr., 49, affectionately known as Joe to his family and friends, who died peacefully at home on Friday, January 9, due to complications of congestive heart failure.
Born on February 27, 1976, Joe was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and a professional cook for nearly 30 years. He had a true gift in the kitchen and found his greatest joy in cooking for family and friends. Joe was in the process of creating a cookbook filled with his favorite recipes—a reflection of his passion, creativity, and love for bringing people together through food.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife of almost 20 years, Debra Colbert Roberts, and his cherished fur babies, Harley the dog and Smoky the cat, whom he loved as his children. He is also survived by his mother, Marjorie Roberts; his brother, Bruce Edwards; his half-sister, Jennifer Roberts and his dear friend Chris Valentovich, who was like a father figure to him. Joe is further survived by an aunt, Brenda Alicastro, and many nieces and nephews, whom he adored and loved to spoil.
He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick J. Roberts Sr., uncles Keith Fike and Brady Fike, with Uncle Keith having been his best buddy while growing up.
Visitation for Joe will be held at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA 15401 on Tuesday, January 13th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 14th at 2 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joe's memory to a local animal shelter or the American Heart Association.
Joe's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the medical team at Allegheny General Hospital for their compassionate care and guidance throughout his journey with heart failure. Their dedication and kindness meant more than words can express.
