Obituary

Pamela S. "Gracie" Lowry, 57, of Uniontown, PA, passed away peacefully at home, with her family by her side, after a courageous, 10 year long battle with breast cancer.She was born June 27, 1961, in Texas, the daughter of Jim and Monnie Campbell.

Pamela was a loving wife, mother, grandma, sister, loyal friend, and teacher. She was a graduate of Uniontown High School, Class of 1979, attended Fayette County Career & Technical Institute for LPN Schooling, and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Penn State University, as Valedictorian of her class, in 1999. She also received her Vocational Technical Teaching Certificate from IUP. Pamela worked at Uniontown Hospital, as a Registered Nurse, from approximately 1997 to 2007, and then at Fayette County Career and Technical Institute as an LPN Instructor before taking over as a Health Occupations Instructor.

She is survived by her husband, of 17 years, Delmar Lowry; her son, Kirk Kuhta (Terri); step-daughters, Gina Miller (Chris) and Julie Swink (Jake); grandchildren, Willow and Meadow Kuhta, Gianna, Kynzlee, and Christian Miller, and Niko Swink; her brothers, Phillip and Roger (girlfriend, Camille) Campbell; brother-in-law, Donald Lowry (Marilyn); sisters-in-law, Bonnie Zurick (Bud), Sherry Speeney (Gary), and Tammy Renzi (Rich); her dogs, Woody and Tilly; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pamela was predeceased by her grandparents, Andrew and Mildred Umble and William Harvey and Bertha Campbell; and her in-laws, Donald and Betty Lowry.

Pam's Family would like to extend special thanks to her special friend, Donna Martin; Vikram C. Gorantla M.D. and his associates; nurses, Hannah Doyle and Chris Carlisle; the Hillman Cancer Center; and the late Dr. Barry C. Lembersky.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, today, November 5, from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, November 6, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., and Wednesday, November 7, until 10 a.m. the Hour of Service with Pastor Lee Maley Officiating.

Interment will be held in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.
